The investigation by the SUN newspaper into the energy comparison sites was a masterful piece of journalism will go down in history as the moment the comparison sites were truly exposed. The SUN because of its distribution, made a massive difference to pretty well everyone so full credit to them.

We do not have the same distribution as our Clients are substantially fewer than the number of SUN readers but at least we hope we are as equally well informed on comparison sites. 

For sure as a tool comparison sites serve a purpose insofar as giving a guide price; but they have targeted and pandered to the unfortunate laziness and complacency of too many consumers and it’s hard to stress that YOU CAN REGULARLY GET A FAR BETTER PRICE AND COVER using a Broker and especially of course Trident Insurance.

Energy came later into the field with comparison sites but please do not think the shenanigans of pricing are any different for motor cars or vans.

The best deals are to be found off screen, which is why we have never gone down the route of being on a comparison site.

We don’t want to be a champion of consumers as we’re not set up that way, but we do want to be the broker that tells you the truth at all times.

Sure you have a million and one things that need attending to but when it comes to Insurance its best to come to the guys who call it as it is. 

A fact that came to light today was interesting, complaints against banks and major Insurers had gone up 7%. That is all the more interesting because the PPI complaints issue is on the wane.
